Tomorrow’s the big day for Jane, Bek, Bridge and Kath - the Rotto swim. The support team is Mick (Kath’s partner) as boat captain, Dan (Bek’s bloke) as paddler and myself as second paddler; and Bridge’s mum’s doing a massive pasta feast tonight to give them all a carbo load. Today we’re running around getting stuff ready, including making banners for the team boat and kayak to easily find each other… above is a closeup. A bit rough and ready, gotta love the home-made stencils and matt black spray paint. Oh, and the team name? Here’s another look:

Oh, and conditions? Looking horrible - swell increasing from 1.5 to 2.5m during the course of the day, and howling southerlies.
